Keeping your Skipper Happy
Before leaving the Dock:
- Show up on time or telephone the Skipper
- Come prepared for the predicted weather
- Wear non-marking non-skid soft white soled shoes
- Bring food to share as requested in the sail plan appropriate for the boat
- Do not bring illegal drugs or firearms
- Ask Skipper what help he/she expects of you
- Ask Skipper about onboard safety equipment
- Overnight trips: Bring sleeping bag and personal items
- Get instructions before use of the head (toilet)
- Get instructions before use of any marine equipment
- Plan to replace any equipment you damage or lose
- Ask Skipper questions if you do not understand
- Do not touch any electronic equipment without permission
- Do not put anything away without permission
- Help clean and secure the boat
- A "Thank You" to the Skipper is appreciated
